Diaspora Jews called on Herzog to advocate for change with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right ministers, who have not interceded to stop the violence.

This is the first time that in the middle of a critical invasion - in this case against Hezbollah in Lebanon - IDF soldiers were diverted to what is viewed as a less dangerous front.

Security incidents reported during the night included Israelis throwing rocks at Palestinians and their vehicles, direct violence against residents, road blockages, graffiti, and arson.

“It cannot be that during a multi-front war, the IDF is forced to contend with a threatening minority from within. These are rioters who do not represent the settlement movement," Zamir said.

The woman was deported after being involved with a security incident in which a Jewish settler hit a 5-year-old Palestinian child with the side mirror of his vehicle.

Two of the Palestinians killed by the Israeli civilians were reportedly shot, while a third died of suffocation due to inhalation of tear gas.

The extremists were also suspected to have sprayed graffiti on the walls, writing several slogans such as "price tag" and "revenge".

The case refers to the violent November attack on the Palestinian village of Jaba that erupted hours after security forces evacuated the unauthorized outpost of Tzur Misgabi in the Gush Etzion.

The IDF reported that, during investigations of the surrounding area, a vehicle with Israeli plates was found containing blunt weapons. The vehicle was confiscated by the district police.
