Firefighters rescued 25 people from a burning apartment building in Netanya overnight, with 13 requiring hospital treatment after the blaze. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause.

Former strategic affairs minister Ron Dermer said that while he had heard “concerns” about a possible agreement with Iran, Israel should “take a step back” and assess the current strategic picture.

“During those moments in the ambulance, I had no idea that the man we were treating would one day lead one of the most sensitive and important organizations in Israel,” said Moshe Weizman.

“This is an extreme act that does not represent the residents of Beit Shemesh. This act is crossing a red line that has no place in our society," Hatzalah head Eli Beer said.

Sirens sounded across the region at approximately 9:10 a.m. following the identification of an Iranian missile, believed to contain a cluster munitions warhead, according to initial reports.

United Hatzalah and the IDF's Search and Rescue Brigade are conducting searches at the reported sites where missile fragments hit southern Israel on Sunday afternoon.

“Nothing prepared me for October 7,” said United Hatzalah senior officer Linor Attias. “This is my people, my country. I was one of the victims.”

Meanwhile, United Hatzalah paramedics successfully performed CPR on a girl, including using a defibrillator, after she fell out of bed during a siren, intending to rush to a sheltered area.

The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority announced that firefighters had been dispatched to Tel Aviv and extinguished several vehicle fires.

Additionally, the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority announced that emergency responders were dispatched to the Petah Tikva area to conduct searches after reports of damage caused by shrapnel.
