Though hundreds of sightings of UFOs/UAPs still cannot be explained, the US Department of Defense still cannot confirm the existence of alien life.

While the UFO's identity is unclear, some Russian lawmakers are claiming it was a Ukrainian drone, though other civilians have wilder theories.

Congress focused on the new Pentagon push in its annual defense policy bill, which it passed this week.

The team, which includes Jewish experts David Spergel and Mike Gold, will investigate UAP reports, how data is gathered and chart a course for how NASA should analyze this going forward.

A number of UFOs/UAPs were discovered over the skies of Ukraine, according to this non-peer-reviewed study, but what they are isn't clear.

Footage has been shared over social media of what seems to be a trail of lights that can be spotted moving from east to west without making a sound. 

The study will be done from a scientific perspective and will focus on identifying available data, collecting future data and seeing how that can progress our understanding of UAPs forward.

The more popular term UFO, for unidentified flying object, has long been widely associated with the notion of alien spacecraft.

The new group which will succeed the US Navy's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, will work to detect, identify and attribute objects, assess and mitigate any associated threats.
