The report by WAM was the first UAE confirmation of Netanyahu's visit. Earlier this year, the UAE denied that MBZ met with Netanyahu after the PMO said Netanyahu had visited in May.

The prime minister also reportedly requested that MBZ deny the recent reports claiming that he had warned him of an impending Hamas attack before October 7.
