Cohen went public last week about his meeting in Rome on August 26th with his Libyan counterpart Najla Mangoush.

Mangoush was suspended and subsequently fired following Israeli publication of the meeting, leading to her fleeing Libya.

The former Mossad official accused politicians of "forgetting secret rules" after the Libyan FM was fired for meeting with Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen.

The meeting with Israel may be a controversy that undermines the Tripoli government and contributes to chaos.

To date only four countries have embassies in Jerusalem, the United States, Guatemala, Honduras and Kosovo, although a number of other countries have promised to follow suit.

"We promise to bring more agreements so that Lapid will have more people to take pictures with," Foreign Minister Eli Cohen wrote on Twitter.
