Zarchi has written more than 100 books in a variety of fields, including poetry, fiction novels and children literature, as well as essays and articles.

Keshet was born in Israel in 1945 and studied biology at the Hebrew University, and did his doctorate between the years 1970 and 1975. He was appointed a professor in 1993.

Bat Adam is best known internationally as an actress to for her lead performance in I Love You, Rosa (1972), directed by her late husband, Moshe Mizrahi, with whom she often collaborated.

The Israel Prize is considered one of the state’s highest honors and is awarded in a ceremony on Independence Day.
