Embassy move

The medal is awarded to those who have made an exceptional contribution to Israel or humanity through their talent, service, or other means, the President's Office said.

Israeli company, Navitas Petroleum, has recently announced that it will undertake activities near the Falkland Islands, a project the Argentinian government decried as "unilateral and illegitimate."

Petr Macinka expressed solidarity with Israel and the Jewish community, and noted that one way of acting on that solidarity would be to move the embassy to Jerusalem.

"We discussed the president's upcoming visit to open Argentina's embassy in Jerusalem, our eternal capital," Sa'ar said after the meeting.

Ambassador Alejandro Rubin sat down with The Jerusalem Post to discuss how, under his tenure, that relationship will only grow stronger.

The office, which will have diplomatic status, will be known as the  Innovation, Research and Development Center.

Sa'ar reportedly pledged to provide patrol boats after a request to assist in Fiji's efforts to control the illegal drug trade in the country.
