Israeli psychic Uri Geller is confident England will win Tuesday night’s semifinal against Argentina at the 2026 World Cup, and he will be using his power to help them.

“I'm a British citizen; my kids work out of England. I've always helped England,” he told The Jerusalem Post.

Geller is a well-documented fan of England’s soccer team, having famously flown in a helicopter over the 1966 World Cup final to support the team, and signed the ball used in the match to bring England luck.

The shirt he wore was signed by the team after their win, and the signed ball is on display at the Museum of Football in Manchester.

Geller stated that while England has an “incredible” team, Argentina has a force to be reckoned with in Lionel Messi, who may have his own psychological powers.

Could the 'psychological power' of Messi be England's downfall?

“Argentina is dangerous, and the psychological power of Messi alone could weaken us. We cannot let this happen, and I am telling you that with our collective energy we can instill in England an invisible force which will make them unstoppable.”

Geller assured the Post that he would be using all of his psychic power “to harness the willpower of millions of England fans dreaming of reaching the final,” and said he had no doubt Argentinian psychics would be doing the same.

“But I can beat them,” he insisted.

“Don't forget, I neutralized the Ghanaian witch doctor who put a voodoo curse on Harry Kane, and I used my powers to help England knock out Norway.”

The Post has not requested Geller influence the results one way or another, and hopes both teams have fun.

Geller calls on millions to help boost England, take down Argentina

Geller called on his readers - including you, reading this now - to assist with “taking out the threat of Messi, and putting England on the path to victory.”

“All you need to do is concentrate on the picture of Messi - which I have already studied and locked into my mind - and think negative thoughts, and think positively about [Harry] Kane or [Jude] Bellingham,”

Geller clarified that he was not calling on England fans to physically harm Messi; rather, they would “psychologically send powers and waves and paranormal energy to neutralize his psychological hold on England, creating an invisible shield around Messi, so he won't be able to score.”

According to Geller, the collective positive motivation will move through the atmosphere, and, using his “lifelong powers,” he will channel it into “a laser beam of psychic thought which I will blast through the TV and into the game.”

Geller stated that he was confident that, with enough fans working together, England could win.

“But I want to remind you that I am not a miracle worker nor a prophet,” he clarified, adding that if England did somehow lose, he would support Argentina in the final due to their close diplomatic ties with Israel.
