The Tax Authority possessed a full list of the passengers and crew aboard flydubai flight FZ1073 prior to its departure from Dubai, a source told The Jerusalem Post on Saturday.
Israel received the list as part of a standard procedure for all inbound flights required by Knesset legislation passed in 2023.
The Mossad also has access to such manifests, though it generally does not review the lists.
The revelations come amid reports that Hamam al-Hammami, the pilot suspected of attempting to hijack FZ1073, was previously banned from flying by Omani authorities over concerns regarding his radical ideological views.
Omani pilot reportedly hired by flydubai despite radicalization concerns
Several people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal on Friday that the pilot was hired by UAE-based carrier flydubai despite the concerns, though it is unclear whether the airline knew about the issue.
Sources briefed on the investigation told ABC News on Saturday that al-Hammami is "cooperating" with the investigation following his return to the United Arab Emirates after being detained by Saudi authorities in Tabuk.
