At least nine people were reportedly killed and five others wounded in Israeli strikes near Nabatiya in southern Lebanon, Lebanese media outlets Al Jadeed and Lebanon 24 reported on Monday.
According to Al Jadeed, two infants were among those killed, and one of the strikes hit a residential building.
Rescue teams worked through the night among the rubble, using heavy machinery to search for people trapped beneath the debris and for additional casualties.
The Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar described the night as particularly difficult in the Nabatiya district and reported that the strikes were not limited to Kfar Roummane.
According to the newspaper, areas in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Arab Salim, and Jabal al-Rafi were also struck, while Israeli activity was also reported in the area of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah.
The IDF later stated that it had struck several Hezbollah terrorists and infrastructure sites across southern Lebanon since Sunday night.
Overnight, the IDF struck several terrorists who were in the process of transferring weapons in the area of Kfar Reman, as well as a weapons storage facility belonging to the terror organization.
These strikes came in response to a drone attack on soldiers operating in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area, the military said, adding that no IDF injuries were reported.
Additionally, on Sunday night, the IDF killed several terrorists in strikes in the Nabatiya area.
IDF strikes Hezbollah command center, weapons storage facilities
On Sunday, the IDF carried out several waves of strikes in southern Lebanon in response to Hezbollah drone launches earlier in the day.
The military struck several weapons storage facilities and terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon belonging to Hezbollah, as well as a Hezbollah command center established inside a building previously used as a hospital.
The military noted that Hezbollah terrorists had recently been seen using the sites.
Earlier in the day, Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that at least four were killed and 20 people were injured in the strikes.
Later on Monday, Army Radio said that a reporter for the Lebanese Hezbollah-run Al-Manar channel was injured in an overnight IDF strike in the city of Nabatiya.
The reporter, identified as Ali Shabib, was taken to a hospital.
