Around 100 firefighters worked to contain a fire that broke out at the largest kosher supermarket in Golders Green on Wednesday, according to the London Fire Brigade.

The fire broke out in a three-story building with apartments above the supermarket shortly after 6:45 a.m. BST, with the brigade receiving 56 emergency calls.

LFB said the building was producing “a significant amount of smoke” and urged people in the area to keep windows and doors closed.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. No injuries have been reported.
