The retro trend continues to take over the fashion world - and this time it comes straight from the football pitch. The French sneaker brand Veja is teaming up with Italian fashion house Magliano to launch a new version of the Panenka model, one of the brand’s most notable designs in recent years.
The model is inspired by classic 1970s football boots, combining sporty vintage aesthetics with a contemporary fashion interpretation. The sneakers come with three interchangeable pairs of laces, allowing for a personalized look.
The Panenka model was first launched about a year ago and quickly became one of Veja’s most in-demand designs, thanks to its blend of retro styling, clean lines, and everyday comfort.
Behind Veja stands a clear environmental and social philosophy: The shoes are made from rubber sourced from the Amazon rainforest, fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, and organic cotton, produced in direct cooperation with farmers in Brazil and Peru.
Magliano is also considered one of the most intriguing names in Italian menswear in recent years. Founded in Bologna in 2017 by designer Luca Magliano, the brand is known for a rawer, darker aesthetic influenced by Italian subcultures, offering an unconventional take on classic menswear pieces.
The new model is priced at NIS 1,000 and will be sold in STORY stores and on the brand’s website.
